Kim Dawson
Special Education Preschool Teacher
My name is Kim Dawson and I am an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. My undergraduate degree is from Western Illinois University in Psychology. My graduate degree is from the University of Indianapolis with a Masters in Special Education Leadership & Practice. I am passionate about supporting children in inclusive environments. Not only do I strive to promote inclusion in the classroom but also inclusion amongst the students. I love seeing peers support, help, and guide each other. I believe this aids in their development in communication skills, becoming leaders, and building relationships. I also co-lead the Preschool Special Olympians and Unified Partners Event for our school district. Outside of the classroom, I direct the Hancock Mini 4-H Princess Pageant. I enjoy coaching youth basketball, working on the family farm, and attending GC sporting events. I live in Greenfield with my husband, Tyler and our two sons, Ryland and Bryer.
